As we immersed ourselves in the Christmas Market, the rain-soaked market square revealed the resilience of Speyer's people. Despite the rain, vendors and visitors alike embraced the festive spirit, their laughter and chatter creating a lively backdrop to our exploration. Seeking shelter from the weather, we found solace in a cozy corner, where a cup of hot Gluwein proved to be the perfect remedy for the chill in the air. Sipping on the warm, spiced wine, we indulged in the rich flavors that resonated with the essence of the season.
And just like that, it was time to start heading back to our ship, the Viking Sigyn. As we were walking along the Rhine River, the clouds parted to reveal a spectacular sunset.
